Who we are
MWIPT is an independent breaking-news and incident media organization focused on Indianapolis, Indiana.
Our team monitors developing incidents throughout the Indianapolis area and documents newsworthy events through on-scene photography and video. Using centralized Dispatch, real-time communications, and custom-built software, MWIPT connects incident monitoring with photographers in the field to efficiently identify and document developing stories.
Captured media is made available to local news organizations for use in their reporting.
Our Mission
Our mission is to document breaking news throughout Indianapolis quickly, accurately, and responsibly while maintaining respect for the people, communities, and public-safety personnel involved.
We believe effective incident coverage is about more than simply getting the shot. MWIPT emphasizes professionalism, responsible reporting, and safe, respectful conduct at every scene we cover.
MWIPT combines traditional on-scene news gathering with technology developed specifically for our operation.
Our custom incident-management systems, centralized Dispatch operation, communications network, and real-time resource tracking help maintain awareness of developing incidents across Indianapolis and connect our field photographers with the information they need.
This allows our photographers to spend less time searching for information and more time documenting the stories happening throughout the city.
